Did you know BU alumni can apply for a Fulbright?
Fulbright Awards are an internationally known distinction that provides funding for a year-long international experience, including round-trip travel, maintenance for one academic year, and health and accident coverage. Two kinds of awards are available:
English Teaching Assistantships in 26 countries worldwide.
Research or Study Projects in more than 140 countries. Fulbright project proposals can be in the humanities and social sciences; in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics; in emerging interdisciplinary fields; or in the creative and performing arts.
Alumni can apply! Applicants must be U.S. citizens with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent (in the creative or performing arts, four years professional training or experience). You need not be a current student to apply!
Criteria include a strong academic/professional record and preparation for the proposed study or project. Generally, applicants for study or research projects must be proficient in the language of countries where English is not the native language, but proficiency is not generally required for applications for English Teaching Assistantships.
